One size has never fit everyone. At Basma scarves, we are working on expanding to offer all our hijabs in two sizes, in the same modal and the same finish—the only thing that changes is how much fabric you have to work with.
The full-coverage size. There's enough length here for a double wrap and beautiful draping, and enough width to cover the chest and shoulders.
Choose Standard if you wrap twice, you want coverage over the chest, you're taller, you layer over an underscarf, or you simply like more drape to work with.
The in-between size: bigger than a mini, lighter than a regular. It's the size we hear the most relief about from women who've spent years folding excess fabric out of the way.
Choose Petite if you're shorter, you wear a single wrap, you want less bulk, you find standard hijabs overwhelming, or you want something that packs down small for travel.
This is also the size our earlier collections came in—so if you've bought from us before and the fit was right, Petite is the one for you.
Two quick tests.
How do you wrap? If you routinely go around twice and want long draping, take Standard. When you wrap once and tuck, you'll find that Petite feels better and looks neater.
And if you're genuinely between the two, most people start with Standard—you can always wear a larger scarf, but you can't add fabric that isn't there.
Both sizes are 100% modal, opaque, finished the same way, and priced the same. The size is a fit decision, not a quality one.
